With a few minutes to go the runners were asked to line up and prepare to go, with the Half Marathoners to the left (as we look from here) and the 10k runners to the right . .

As those in the longer event peeled off to run round the playing field, the runners in the 10k headed straight towards me . .

And with the 10k on their way out of Adderbury, the Half Marathon runners started to head my way too . .
