once upon a lifetime, my 5k time would have given me a top 10/15 placing on Saturday . . nowadays, however, if you picture the first half a lap as a triangle, the leading runners ran the two long sides more quickly than I could run the short side . . (pause for breath) . . although admittedly I was dressed for standing still in the winter and carrying a couple of cameras . . which I wasn't when I thought 5k was much shorter than it seems to be now!!

and a quick look at Saturday's results shows that over 25% of the runners on Saturday would have been aged 8 or younger, or not even born, at about the time I'm thinking of . . fortunately I have a long memory!!

anyway . . with everyone running so fast it's not easy to suggest how to find your photo . . pages 1 and 2 are exclusively of the first lap . . but the remaining pages are of the 2 remaining laps in the order you all passed me by, as I slowly went along the bottom end of the park and up the hill to the finish . . mostly backwards . . carrying cameras . .
