walking from the College down to the riverside, there were some lovely views of the College . .

the runners were well catered for by the signs around the course . . the 9k sign being particularly welcome despite being at the bottom of a stiff little slope . .

there weren't many spectators out on course but those that were around took a keen interest . .

here the two leading men, and one of the last runners, approach our spot in the 8th kilometre . .

elsewhere, as well as this magnificent man in his flying machine, there were scenes which may have been familiar to Mr Toad . . and some lovely views of this section of the River Thames . .
