When we got back to the College fields after the runners had gone by down beside the river, there was still plenty going on, and loads of people around . . and our Compere kept us amused whilst we waited for the results to be completed so that the age group prize winners could be announced and rewarded . .

Alex Bradbury, one of the Event Organisers, and Mr Gregg Davies, the Head of Shiplake College, each said a few words before the presentation - the consensus being that the event had gone really well, it was great to see so many people from the local community taking part in one way or another, and that the event will take place again next year . . good news for all!!

and then the prizes were given out, first to the Strange Blue Man for the Best Fancy Dress, and then to the 60's Hippy Chick for the next best Fancy Dress . .

and then the age group prizes, starting with the first Over 50 lady, and the first Over 60 lady (although the latter had already left having run her race) . .

then the first Over 50 Man . .

and the first Over 60 Man . .

and fiinally, the first Lady to cross the finish line . .

followed by the Winner of the 2010 Shiplake Scramble . .

and then we all went our separate ways . . it was still only half past 12 and so there was plenty of time to have more fun elsewhere . .
