I wanted to take photos at the far end of the long starting straight . . but I didn't really want to get muddy so stuck to the road . . whilst these members of Edmonton Running Club enjoyed a paddle as they warmed up . .

. . and these four athletes were warming up with some drills . .

and having got to my vantage point I had a great view down towards the start . . with the runners far away and minute . . and here they come . .
