The grass in the finish funnel was taller than we remembered . .and yet the signs were difficult to get into the ground . .

The Volunteers were great, as always, and they arrived early to be allocated their tasks for the morning . .

. . and we welcomed some tourists who were happy to be at Abingdon . .

. . although understandably, perhaps wary of the tigers . .

. . slowly the runners arrived and made their way to the start . .

. . and whilst some were happy to catch up with friends and talk about last night's footie, others spent the last few moments warming up . .

. . people do find odd ways to spend a Saturday morning, don't they!!

. . although standing on a river bank for 20 minutes or so, making sure that a hundred or so runners are safe and headed in the right direction, seems perfectly normal!!
