I gave myself an early start this morning, setting from home at 7 am so that I'd have time to run my parkrun before taking photos of everyone else running theirs. I ran the course the wrong way round and found a good spot to take photos of the runners that I'd not used before . . see the "second time round" pages . . and of course having just run 5k I was grateful of the opportunity to lie down whilst I took the photos . .

Here's a short video taken after 1 kilometre of today's Abingdon parkrun . .

The meadow beside the Thames was full of white and yellow flowers . . this photo doesn't really do justice to the view that waited for the runners as they turned away from the river's towpath . .

. . and the bright colours of the runners' clothing added to the spectacle . .

. . although the tigers' stripes weren't very effective camouflage . .

. . of course the River Thames always provides interesting things to take photos of . .

. . and after the rain and sunshine we've had in recent weeks, everything is blooming . .

. . although I can't remember if an open pine cone means it's going to rain or not . .
