. . and whilst some were making their way to the start, others were already warming up and preparing for their race . .

 . . and as 10 o'clock got nearer the runners began to gather impatiently at the road side . .

 . . before being invited to spread across the road . . and then the inaugural Wiltshire 10 was under way . .

 . . and eventual race winner Simon Plummer of Salisbury ARC was quickly into the lead . .

 . . and it was only a few seconds before everyone was on their way out of Melksham . .
