Welcome to Melksham - home of the Wiltshire 10 . .

well, the sign doesn't say that yet, but it can only be a matter of time, surely? And here is the home of the Wiltshire 10 - the Adventure Centre in King George V Playing Fields, beside the River Avon . .

. . it was something of a tight squeeze at times in Race HQ . . but it was one way of keeping warm on a wet and cool morning . . others found more running focussed ways of warming up beforehand . .

. . it hadn't got any warmer by the time the Wiltshire 10 was due to start and some seemed to shiver their way to the start . . hopefully there was some warmth to be found in the pack on the start line . .

. . and as you set off on your way to Lacock the hard way, I defied the roadworks in Beanacre to get there before you . . and was met by my smiling supporter (after all, even photographers need support) . .

. . it only took 39 minutes from first to last runner for everyone to pass us by . . and I was able to return to the finish in the Playing Fields before some of you had completed the 10 miles . .

. . I know that many of you are using your running to raise money for charity, and I wish you well in your endeavours . . but only Rob took time out to give us a twirl . . so here he is, twirling . .
