. . this is the page I use to show the other things that caught my eye whilst I was taking my race photos . . and any photos of the Runners in the distance, for example, that don't really fit anywhere else . .

. . so some more views from the walk to the Start . .

Thornbury's St Mary's Church, rebuilt in the perpendicular style some 500 years ago . . and what I suspect is some form of sundial on the Green in front of the Church . .

. . and no apologies for more photos of this Extremely Cheerful Robin . .

. . bit of a ropey old signpost, but it does the job . .

 . . and down by the Severn Estuary . . ropey signs becoming a theme . . and I do like bridges . .

. . but then the Runners started coming, and I had to stop messing about, and try to keep upright in the wind . .

. . although I kept getting distracted by Oldbury Power Station with it's minty stripes. .

. . but managed to concentrate on the hard working Runners until it was time for me to get back to the Finish, to ensure I was there before the leaders . .

. . and I succeeded, as you can see, because on the left are the first two Runners, so close after 9 miles and yet from second place Nicolas's point of view, probably not quite close enough . . and whilst all the Runners were galloping through the stream I didn't have much time to take anything different, but did manage this view of two Runners hurtling towards the finish line . . and finally . . the last two Runners, with their guardian Marshals, all still smiling, and running, and clearly enjoying themselves . .
