. . once inside Race HQ it was a simple matter to fill in an entry form if you hadn't pre-entered . . and these three lovely ladies were waiting to give you your number . .

. . whilst it seems to me that these three gentlemen are wearing the smiles of those who know they'll be indoors for most of the blustery morning (although I don't actually know if that was the case, so please forgive me won't you, if I've libelled you!!) . .

. . and as things started to get busy indoors, I thought it best to get out of the way and see who and what I could find outside . .

. . although not before taking photos of the excellent cakes that were the winning Team prizes (hope it was only 3 or 4 to count) and some of the array of other wonderful cake waiting for after the Rollick . .

. . and outside I found Jan, who had suggested I enquire about taking these photos in the first place . . and lots of volunteers hard at work getting everything ready . . and a rather posh (and clean) tractor . . and gradually the place was filling up with runners and their families and friends . .

. . of course the Rollick doesn't start at the same place as the finish . . that would be no fun, so it's a short warm up away along some of those sneaky footpaths I mentioned earlier . . and when I got there, there were already a few Runners ready and waiting . .

and gradually more and more Runners arrived . .

and other important people like the Time-keeper, and Race Director Dave Andrews . .

and with the start being on a curve, I trotted a little way along the path so I could get some reasonable photos of the start . . and here's the back of the queue just as the Runners at the pointy end set off . .
