There wasn't much doubt where the marshals needed to gather beforehand . .

whilst inside Race HQ runners and marshals were getting together and looking forward to their morning out . .

the start is a warm up away from the finish . . just before 10 o'clock it's full of runners but at 25 to the hour there was only Jason on the start line . . looking along an empty Marshcroft Lane . .

although he didn't have to wait too long before other runners arrived to keep him company . .

Meanwhile . . marshals were out awaiting the runners . . and once the runners had disappeared up the hillside, final runner Frances chased after them . .

and at Pitstone Hill, the drink station was ready and waiting . .
