. . inside Race HQ, the entry on the day desk was working well . . and the late entrants' details were being loaded into the system . .

 . . whilst marshals were being briefed . .

 . . and out on the road, the Start line was marked up and more marshals were there ready to point would be entrants in the right direction . .

 . . and before long the footpath beside the River Brett was full of runners making their way to the start area . .

 . . where there was much stretching and warming up taking place . .

 . . the lead cyclist was ready . . the timing officials were ready . . and soon, the runners were ready . .

and after they'd all set off on their 10 mile journey, there was just time to watch the start of the Junior 2k . .
