There isn't time to hold the runners for long on the road before the start of the Bearbrook 10k, so this Fiat that got past the marshal's radar in stealth mode was an unwelcome sight, but the driver quickly turned around and got out of the way and in a matter of moments the 27th Bearbrook 10k was up and running . .

Which was the signal for those of us who needed to be on the Halton Road to get walking . .
