The 27th edition of the Bearbrook 10k was a record breaking one, with a record number of 510 finishers and a new Ladies Course Record of 34.24 set by Susie Hignett of Bournemouth, who knocked 4 seconds off the previous best . .

I think it's worth saying Well Done to this runner who stopped to help a fellow competitor at the start (and I'm sure others stopped too, I just didn't get a picture of them) . . happy to report that the lady who fell was able to complete the race . .

There was plenty of Cayke, there was a sea of Goody Bags waiting for the runners to complete the event, there was plenty of water

. . and there was Paddy, doing it His Way . . and these ladies, stretching their way . . I've seen a lot of different ways of stretching before and after races, but I've never seen anyone stretching like this before . .

There was almost a confrontation at the start but this car driver opted to turn around and get out of the way, which allowed the race to start on time and in a matter of moments the runners were all gone . .

And I walked up Halton Road to prepare to take my photos of all the runners, and whilst I waited, I had a look around and there was plenty to keep me busy . . the cows below, for example, who couldn't agree whether it was a stand up or sit down day, nor whether to be out in the open or in the shade!!

Whilst the Hare below had some fun in the airfield . .

There were plenty of things that were nice to look at, and lots of flying things too . .

And tractors . .

And just when I was becoming concerned about the Hare being chased by the tractor cutting the grass . . along came another Hare in the form of Anuradha Cooray, repeating his victory of last year . .
