what a gorgeous day we had for this race . . I left Aylesbury in fog and as I headed eastwards the morning just got better and better . .

seemed to me to be a lovely event, well organised and a nice course with a good mix of road and off-road, and of course that nasty slope at the very beginning of the final kilometre . .

when I arrived, everything was being prepared for the runners who would soon arrive . .

whilst back indoors, in the shade, then late entry desk was busy  

and groups of runners gathered and caught up with the news

but maybe it's better to be outside and try to acclimatise? lots of runners were, making the most of the sunshine, stretching, warming up, having their photo taken and having a natter . .
