Having completed a parkrun of course we have to wait in line to hand in our finishing numbers so that the results can be collated

Nobody seemed to mind the wait, there was much swapping of stories of injuries and splits (I didn't actually hear any of this, but know it to be true because what else do we runners discuss after any race?)

As this process was underway the volunteers started to return from the furthest corners of the course. I know Chris counted the bollards up afterwards but not sure if he counted all the volunteers back in . . is there a marshall still out there waiting patiently?!!

Finally, the thrill of posing on the bridge for the local paper's photographer . . would the bridge hold? Fortunately, from the crowd's point of view (but not necessarily those of the photographers!!) the bridge proved quite capable of supporting 60 or so bodies!!

And as the man from the paper made his way to his next engagement, and the last results were taken, the runners drifted off and peace and tranquility returned to Morden Hall . .
