Link All Stars team outing to Bedfont Lakes . . those older muscles need some stretching . . whilst the younger ones just relax . . muddy shoes . . new shoes . . forgot to get an "after" photo of the later . . getting down to race kit came as a shock to one or two when they felt the cold, but smiles soon returned . . Sharon gives out the Parish Notices . . Helen presents Martin with his 100 Club parkrun Jacket (great achievement Martin!) and Sarah announces the madness and mayhem that will ensue next week when we will be staging a parkrun with a difference!! and here's the audience . . coiled springs . . ready to parkrun . . and as soon as Sharon start the race they're off for their two laps of lovely Bedfont Lakes Country Park some four legged friends were out and about . . and despite the rain which came down the volunteers were out there, smiling, and ensuring that everything was in place for the runners . . a most important volunteer point is here, making sure nobody takes a short cut to the finish . . and at the finish area, post race registration runs smoothly . . whilst the runners relax with a natter, or a moment of reflection . . new nails holding tight to the flyer about next week's fun . . and then another run is over and it's time to go home . . unless you have to go to Race Director Skool with Headmistress Heather . . I thought this was a still life but was politely advised that as there's neither a runner nor a duck in it, it's just not a very good photo . . but I guess that was because I'd been less than complimentary about the girlie blue and yellow phone . . the chocolate cupcake was just gorgeous however . . and finally, a few views across one of the lakes, apart from the second one from almost the same location, showing the contrasting weather we had to contend with in the 30-40 minutes we were out there . . |
