Once again, I didn't know what role I would be fulfilling this Saturday until late in the week. On Friday evening I read a message from Race Director Sharon on the Fetch website, suggesting that I came along the following morning with my camera and that I would be Official Hugger

Well obviously it's a lousy job but someone's got to do it haven't they, and it may as well be me, and besides, Bedfont Lakes parkrun is blessed with several Race Directors whose smiles I can't resist, just like this one . .

although the morning started dry and cold (although possibly good for running), the clouds got greyer and the rain came during the race, which gave Heather and Kath the opportunity to demonstrate the very latest in parkrun volunteer accessory clothing . .

and of course gave me the opportunity to make one or two silly remarks about something a barber used to suggest a gentleman might need at the weekend . .

for which I was punished by having to write the post race parkrun report . . DOH!!

anyway, let's get on with the photographs . . the menu on the left should help you find your way round these pages . . this page is the Bedfont Lakes intro . . click on before and after and that's when the photos on that page were taken . . click on the runners and you'll find links to pages of the runners taken at two points during the parkrun . . click on more photos to see photos from other parkruns

just a word about the photos . . they may appear a bit blurred but that's because they're low resolution, and if you would like a high resolution version of any of the photos, please get in touch, tell me which photo and I'll gladly send you the file.

I come along to parkrun events to take photos for the same reason as we all run them, for enjoyment and fun, and although I do sell photos taken at other races, I don't sell those that I take at parkruns.

You're also welcome to download the photos from these Bedfont Lake parkrun pages, but if you use them for anything that others may see, please tell them the race photographer dot com took it. Thanks!
