Waiting for the runners at the end of the Marathon were their mementoes, refreshment, and the recorders . .

. . the drinks station was ready to give drinks to those about to start their final lap . . Lucy was enjoying herself with her camera . . and although the Mayor of Richmond seemed to be bashful at first . .

he quickly got into the swing of things, presenting the winning runners with their medals and prizes . .

. . I missed the first two ladies to finish receiving their awards . . the ladies were much more laid back about their achievements . .

. . four legs has to be an advantage, surely . . although having said that, they're rather short legs, aren't they . .

. . and as always after an endurance race . . some finishers needed to stretch things back out again . .

. . whilst others were just stretched out . .

. . some preferred solitude for a while, as they re-fuelled and rested . .

. . although others, perhaps afraid of having to try to stand up again if they were to sit down, carried out their post-mortems standing up . . and Paul just didn't stop grinning . .

 . . Ian celebrated the completion of his 50th marathon . .

. . and some just wanted to have their photos taken . . how fortunate that I was there!

. . Many thanks to the organisers of the Richmond Park Marathon for allowing me to come along and take photos of their excellent event . . what a lovely day out it was . .
