when I returned to the Sports Field everyone had completed the 10k, and as there were still some eggs remaining, they could be bought for £1, which seemed quite reasonable

there was still coffee, tea and cake to be enjoyed in the Pavilion, and by now the bar was open too . .

whilst out on the field the finish funnel team were having a bit of a confab . . and those others who'd stayed behind waited patiently for the prize giving . . and although the morning was now overcast, it was still warm and pleasant outside . .

as soon as the results and the prizes were ready, it was time to hand them out, but not before the Black Swan Hotel had been thanked for it's generous support of the race, and the General Manager, Andrew Jamieson, had been invited to hand out the prizes . .

I thought a very nice touch was to hand out the prizes in the order of 1st man then 1st lady, 2nd man then 2nd lady, and so forth, instead of all of one sex first and then all the opposite one, as usually happens. Made it more interesting and easier to follow too . . and here almost all of them are . . Congratulations all of you . .

Many thanks to the Race Committee for allowing me to come along and take all my photos. I really enjoyed my morning out in this beautiful part of Yorkshire, and hopefully will see you all again next year. I'll be giving 10% of my net sales to the fund set up to assist in the regeneration of the Sports and Community Club, which were used as Race Headquarters on Easter Day . .
