When I arrived, about an hour before the start, everything was pretty much ready for the 10k to take place, with the post-race mementoes and refreshment already ready and waiting . .

The barbecue was already set up and even before the Race the smell of cooking burgers wafted across the Leisure Centre forecourt, which seemed a little harsh on those who were about to run! Not sure why the cherry picker was there but it makes a nice photo . .

Inside the Leisure Centre entries were still being accepted and refreshments were available . . note the neatly laid out set of racephotographer.com business cards on the table in the right hand photo!!

Steve Bowerman of Witney Body Zones was on hand to help you ease those little niggles beforehand . . and after the Race too . .

Back outside, everybody seemed to be taking photos . .

Soon after 10 o'clock we all made our way around to the start . . here's the Mayor of Carterton, Councillor Norman MacRae, with the Oxfordshire AA officials and Race Referee . .

The last few minutes before 10.30 were spent in a variety of ways . . nattering, stretching and laughing, or maybe a few final strides . .

And then it was time to get serious, and line up ready to start . .
