The Late Entry desk was working well when I arrived . . and the data in putter was consequently working well too . .

As always the smell of bacon coming from the kitchen was a big lure . . and it was difficult to know whether a bacon sandwich or one of these cakes was more tempting . .

Outside of course, the goody bags were already laid out ready to hand to the 469 runners who went on to complete the 10k . .

The marshals were ready for action . . the baggage tent was functioning smoothly . . and the first aid people were ready to be called on if necessary . .

There's plenty of room around the rugby field to warm up and get those legs stretched out . .

And lots of friends and club mates to compare injury stories with . .
