Having arrived at Chesterton the first thing for most people to do was to collect their timing chip, which whenever I passed by seemed to be a most efficient operation . .

 . . inside Race HQ there was a queue to enter the Junior race which would take place around the fields whilst the 10k was under way . . and the catering was proving popular too . .

Back outside there always seemed to be plenty of marshals and helpers . .

 

 . . whilst the runners stretched and did what they needed to do to warm cold muscles . .
