it was fun to see so many people in fancy dress or Santa hats this morning (although it must be most confusing for children!!)

9 o'clock approached, and the runners gathered at the start, listened to a few words from Paul, and then the Christmas Day parkrun got under way

Chris MacTree led the host of 415 runners from start to finish

and then they were gone . . and there was just time to set up the equipment at the finish . .

before the early runners came into view, and Chris MacTree came flying through the finish

with so many runners to record it inevitably took a wee while to process everyone, but there's always plenty to talk about, especially on Christmas morning, and nobody minds too much . .

and once all the tokens had been gathered in, it was time to head our separate ways to enjoy the rest of Christmas Day
