wasn't it wet as we tried to prepare for today's parkrun!!

some folk found shelter wherever they could . . (and who would blame them!)

others got on with the job of getting everything ready

getting warm . . keeping warm . . and staying warm were major pre-occupations this morning

Rima came along with what appeared to be an industrial strength lifebelt, which she then dragged round the course . .
(I didn't think it had been raining that much but I guess it pays not to take chances eh?)

and there was a minor panic when a gust of wind tried to take the Big Brolly with it . .

a little bit of hanging around for those who didn't time their arrival precisely . .

some showing off of snazzy tops!! . .

at last, it's 9 am and we can get on with it . .

but no, we can't . . because our Lady of the Lake has five *10* parkrun t-shirts to give out . .
Congratulations to you all! . .

and so eventually . . at last . . someone shouted *Go* . .

and they went . .

and as the volunteers tried to get the finish area shipshape . .

the Sun came out!! and the parkrun ended in (comparatively) glorious sunshine

and whilst some found time (and energy) to play . .

others finished the serious business of putting number 28 to bed . .

before we could wander across the road for breakfast . . see you next week
