Back to Bedfont Lakes this week after my trip to Leeds a week earlier. Bedfont is becoming my parkrun of choice it seems . . it's almost the closest to home, and many of the regulars are friends of mine so it would be rude not to, really! Plus, when Martin's there with his camera, I get to have a run as well.

And as I looked through the results of the previous 15 parkruns I discovered that I'm currently the eight fastest ever in my age category, at Bedfont Lakes, and *all* I need to do tomorrow (I write this the evening before the event) is run 8 seconds faster than last time, and so long as nobody new turns up and beats me (in my age category, I mean) then I'll be 7th fastest of all time!! Never expected to become fascinated by 5k running but being on an all-time list could get me interested!

24 hours after writing the above 2 paragraphs, I can report that I having no Garmin to wear, I mis-judged my pace terribly, and having gone through approximately half way in sub 25 pace I finished in 27.36 and so missed my target by 13 seconds!! next time . .

This week I thought I'd highlight some of the lovely flowers and berries that we see in the park . . they change every week almost and that's one of the things that makes our parks so beautiful . .

Remember that I come along to parkrun events to take photos for the same reason as we all run them, for enjoyment and fun, and although I do sell photos taken at other races, I don't sell those that I take at parkruns. If you would like a high resolution version of any of the photos (the images on display being low res), please get in touch, tell me which photo and I'll gladly send you the file.

You're also welcome to download the photos from my Bedfont Lake parkrun pages, but if you use them for anything that others may see, please tell them the race photographer dot com took it. Thanks!
