click the photos to see a larger image when you arrived at Ardington, everything was easy to find, and the Boneshaker Crew, their friends and their helpers were hard at work on registration, and problem solving, and meeting and greeting . .
and moments of contemplation such as this were few and far between . .
a couple of nice touches from the Crew . .
plenty of men in aprons (but no sign of Dan Brown or Tom Hanks) . .
and of course, retail opportunities . .
registration was relatively simple . . .
there seemed to be loads of room in the bike park but pretty soon it was full . .
and there was plenty of room for those who had the time to sit around and have another coffee . . and the cake was excellent too!
the
smell of bacon wafting across the field was especially tempting but
I did manage to resist until after the
and as 10.30 approached the sun began to shine . .
and before long it was time for the pre-event briefing . .
which was my cue to get out on the course of the 5k run to get my first photos of the competitors in action . .
