this young man had way too much energy!! . . looking down to the finish . . waiting for the runners' return . .

after spending some time enjoying conversations with different race watchers, the leader came up the hill and set off down the final descent to the finish . .

now and again I had time to look over my shoulder at the runners flying down Box Hill . .

and as the gaps between the runners got larger, and the clouds lifted, I was able to admire the view . .

regular visitors to these pages will know that I usually come home with at least one picture of a plane . . but this time I've got to disappoint you . . although I did see this train passing through the valley . .

plenty of wildlife . .

and as the final runner makes her way down to the finish . . with a big smile on her face . .

and the sweeper upper terrifies the life out of me!!
