I was positioned at about 750m on the first lap, ready to take everyone's photo as they wound their way along the path . .

Beyond me was Rodway Hill . . a steep little thing that looms above you as you approach it. You don't see it at first, and to paraphrase a friend's remarks, at my regular parkrun at Ashton Court, we're quite brazen about "our" hill, not that we have a lot of choice mind you. Whereas at Pomphrey Hill, despite the name, they play the hill down somewhat and hide it behind a field!
