So here we are with early registration outside, and then, because it was so windy (and the building behind us was opened) we took everything inside . .

But as Marathon start time approached it was time to make our way to the start, down below the dam (on the dry side, fortunately!) . .

Everyone lined up ready to run . . well, almost everyone . . there's usually a late-comer after all!

. . and after a briefing from Dave, the klaxon sounded and they were off on their 26.2 mile adventure . .

. . with one loop across the dam, and back past the start line, before two laps of the Lake . .

A little time later, the Half Marathon runners began to arrive at the start line . .

. . where they lined up, listened to Dave's second pre-race brief, and set off at the sound of the klaxon . .
