Once I'd got my camera set up to take some film of the runners climbing the hill the first time, it was just a matter of waiting for the parish notices to be read, and for parkrun to start, and then I could start snapping . . Here are a few photos that don't belong on the previous pages . . they show how the weather deteriorated during the course of the run and give a further indication - if one were needed - of how steep this hill is here . . And then, 35 minutes later, everyone had run past me for the last time, and Marcus went whizzing by on his bike, loaded with marshalling paraphernalia . . . . whilst down by the finish the other volunteers were cheerfully waiting for the tail enders to complete their parkruns . . . . and enjoying this youngster's pride in completing her 10th parkrun, whilst others ensured that the numbers added up . . A little later, over in the dry warmth of the Stables, inevitably there was excellent coffee, cake and conversation . . and the results were being processed . . Finally, here's this week's glimpse of the gaily coloured houses of Cliftonwood . . |
