Shortly before 7.30, the Seniors, together with Years 10 and 11, lined up for the start of the 6k (ish) Fun Run . . which entailed a clockwise loop of the cricket field before setting off down Station Road towards the canal . .

. . the leading runners made it out of the field and onto the road before I could . .

 . . and there they were, all gone . .
