As the runners came past me I didn't have many opportunities to take photos of them with the hillside in the background . . but here are a few that I did have time to take . .

and a couple showing runners struggling up that hill (and I'm very pleased that I didn't have to!) . .

earlier on, this labrador had emerged from the trees but paid me no attention . . clearly there were more important things to consider . .

and this Grey Wagtail amused me for a few minutes . . until I remembered I had to get back to Race HQ . .
