Back outside again, and there was some warming up to be done . . before everyone made their way to the start . .

 . . including of course Mr Race Director . .

 . . the Lead Cyclist is ready to go . .

 . . and all the runners are wound up and ready to go . .

. . well, almost all of them anyway . .

. . take a deep breath . . the starting pistol goes off . . and so is the pack of 224 runners . .

. . and just 70 seconds later, they were all on their way around the 5k loop . .

. . the Race Officials were making their way to the finish . .

. . and Sean, having given everyone a head start, gave chase . .
