You know how *they* say you should never go back? Well *they* are wrong, because I had a marvellous time this weekend at the parkrun that used to be *home*, at Bedfont Lakes. Despite my devastation at finding, last Tuesday, that Bedfont Mum Heather was visiting the Obama's in DC this weekend, I was more than happy to entrust my Saturday morning fate with RD SharonD, mostly because all I had to do was take some photographs, and keep hugging people. *sigh*, it's a tough life, isn't it!!

As usual I couldn't remember how long it took to reach the Lakes and arrived first . . and had time to watch all these lovely creatures  . .

including this Heron, which flew away every time I got close to it . .

and this Parakeet which hung around long enough to take a few photos . .

but by then I could hear voices, and it was just a slippery slope downhill from then on in, really . .

You can find more photos by clicking on the buttons to the left or below - clicking Bedfont parkrun intro will bring you back to this page . . there's a page of photos of everyone gathering, and a page of photos taken of the start, plus some pages of the runners at the end of the first lap . . and some photos of the runners on the last long bend into the finish straight . .

I come along to parkruns to take photos for the same reason as you run them, for enjoyment and fun and although I do sell photos taken at other races, I don't sell those that I take at parkruns. If you would like a high resolution version of any of the photos (the images on display being low res), please get in touch, tell me which photo and I'll gladly send you the file.

You're also welcome to download the photos from these pages, but if you use them for anything that others may see, please tell them the race photographer dot com took it. Thanks!
