I hope those of you who were running, marshalling or otherwise volunteering, or simply spectating, had as much fun as Di and I did at Whipsnade Zoo last Sunday. There was so much to see and do, and of course, to take photographs of, that sometimes I didn't know which way to turn!

With the race consisting of 3 laps of the Zoo I knew I'd be in for a busy morning, especially if once the race was underway I could get to a reasonable vantage point in time to see everyone come around the first time. So as soon as the 10k had started we jogged/walked with all our equipment across the railway line, hoping to get to the Cheetah Enclosure before the runners did. We lost! Mostly thanks to winner Darren Deed's 30min 05sec pace, we didn't quite get there in time!! But by the time everyone came past again, we were by Cheetah Rock as planned . .

Whilst the race was under way we were treated to some lovely views of this Cheetah licking it's lips as the runners (aka fast food) made their way past the enclosure, and behind us the Zebras came across to watch a couple of times too . .

And after the race we strolled around the Zoo and were treated to some showing off by some of the residents!!

We hope you enjoy the photos we took, and that they give those of you who didn't have your own cameras with you something to look back on, to help remember a lovely day out . .
