The morning of Saturday 13 June started out a bit grey, and as I drove to Basingstoke from Aylesbury I wondered if we were going to have a second damp Saturday in succession. But I needn't have worried, as the sun was to shine on Basingstoke parkrun # 49 and there was no need for the
glass-half-empty-waterproofs!!

Never having been to Basingstoke before I had no idea what to expect. The town's War Memorial Park turned out to be a nice mixture of open space and woodland. There were plenty of old friends in town for the parkrun too, which made my diversion from the direct route to Bristol doubly worthwhile.

If you see a small photo click on it, usually it'll open into a larger version. I come along to parkrun events to take photos for the same reason as you run them, for enjoyment and fun. So these aren't on sale. However if you would like a high resolution version of any of the photos (the images on display being low res), please get in touch, tell me which photo and I'll gladly send you the file.

You're also welcome to download the photos on my Basingstoke parkrun pages, but if you use them for anything that others may see, please tell them the race photographer dot com took it. Thanks!
