The sleepy Buckinghamshire town of Princes Risborough didn't quite seem to wake up this morning despite some 300 runners taking part in the Princes Risborough Festival 10k. This particularly applied to the coffee shop were the unprecedented demand at 9.30 in the morning seemed to catch the team there by surprise . . however the quality (and the size of portion) of the Coffee Cake they served was such that they can easily be forgiven . . many thanks to Kim and Gill for my double slice!!

Did we feel guilty eating cake and watching the race? Of course we didn't!! We had a splendid time stood at the side of the road, about 200 metres from the finish . . and from my point of view I seem to have got some great photos because most of the runners didn't realise I was there and so were unaware of having their picture taken . .

Once again there was a large contingent of my friends from Tring, at what for us is a local event . . so local indeed that 3 of them went on to run home after the race . . no Cake for them, then!! Also good, as ever, to see one or two Fetchies enjoying the race . .

Princes Risborough Market Place at 5 to 9 on a busy Sunday morning . . and evidence that it could have been more than just Cake, if only this shop had been open . . I for one was all ready to submit!!
