What a great place for a race!! On a dry summer evening, 379 runners completed the Marston Forest 5k, organised by the Ampthill & Flitwick Flyers Running Club, who are 21 this year, so Congratulations to them!!

The visitor centre was a great location for number collection (chip timing for an evening 5k, fab!), for meeting up and for relaxing afterwards and there were some interesting views to enjoy for those of us who weren't rushing around!!

Afterwards there was a barbeque. No photos from that part of the evening as I was too busy testing the burgers!!!

For the first time this year there was a children's 1k fun run, free to enter and a fine medal for all finishers, below is a picture of the entrants lining up for the start . .

and I found myself a pleasant spot just before the 4k mark, to sit down on the grass and lean back against a tree, from where I managed to take 402 photos in 22 minutes!! Not quite a pb but getting close!! The first and the last are below . .

so the chances are that if you ran in the race I've got a photo of you. Monday 11pm . . most of the small photos now link to larger copies, those that don't will be completed on Tuesday evening . . don't forget that all the photos here are low resolution, and if you would like a high res version please contact me.
