the field of runners is relatively small at the JW but this makes for a great family atmosphere amongst the runners and supporters . . many of us having known one another for years . . and each year the family grows a little larger . . here's everybody meeting up beforehand (in the new enlarged Greenways car park) . .

shortly before 10 o'clock, Mark says a few words to the massed athletes . .

they certainly like their stretching at Almost Athletes . .

a few more words from Mark . .

everybody lines up, and a moment later, they're on their way and the journey begins . .

and just a few more moments later . . they've gone and peace returns to the Greenway . .

ironically, once the runners had gone, the queue for the loo was even longer than ever . . but soon we were on our way to the Aqueduct at Edstone . .
