We do enjoy our strolls along the sea front, don't we. No matter what the weather, there's always somebody enjoying the noise of the waves crashing, the views across a beach, even the wind, with the seagulls circling on the thermals . .

Bank Holidays and weekends of course attract more crowds than other times, so when something slightly out of the ordinary takes place like a 10 mile road race along the sea front, we all have to be aware of those around us and remember to share the space . . and the Folkestone 10 on Good Friday had a great bunch of marshals helping the runners make their way through the strollers, cyclists and skaters . .

They were helped greatly by the team of 7 local cyclists who escorted the leading runners, and those at the back, throughout the race . .

whilst some of us just enjoyed the views . .

if you look at these pages regularly, you'll know that it's unusual for me not to include photos of any animals or birds I see during the race . . but this time, there's not much to show. The wind was so gusty that even the seagulls kept out of range, and almost all the dogs were being walked away from me and so I wasn't getting the greatest views . .

and before we get on with the race, don't some people do some odd things in their free time!! (I was horrified when the guy towed out his dinghy as I couldn't believe he was going sailing in that wind, but it turned out that he was just cleaning it ready for a new season . .)
