I know it was unkind of me to take all my photos from the top of *that* hill. I know this because so many of you told me as you passed me.

I had hoped to get a photo of you like this, with the half-timbered farm house in the background, and that row of tall trees behind it . . and with you in the foreground . .

in the event, the angles were wrong and I couldn't achieve what I set out to do. I might have done, if I'd laid out in the middle of the road but then there were one or two of you who might have given me a headache had you found me in that position pointing a camera at you. So obviously I didn't . .

and as someone who these days has to have a walking/breathing break on a flat 5k, I can only admire the way everyone got up that hill today . . it may not have felt like you were whizzing up it, but compared to what some of us can achieve, believe me, you all whizzed up it!!
