many things have to happen to stage a race . .

there are cars to park . . generators to start . . and gizmos to remember from last time . .

there's Cayke to eat (that's a tough one, obviously) . .

we all want our results the moment we cross the finish line . . and many of us like to enter on the day . .

there are marshalls to cajole and encourage . . and sponsors to remember . .

and mementos to give out . .

and whilst all that goes on . . for a group of active people . . we spend an awful lot of time standing around!!!
