leaving the centre of Wolverhampton, with LJB1, ND and HoD just ahead of me in the left hand shot one pace Carl on the left here it is . . Coseley Tunnel . . dark, slippery when dry, never mind wet, and demanding caution! on the right, the drinks station at 6 miles with Jogging Jon on the left . . the drinks stop at 9 miles . . Mrs Jigs running back, having completed the race, and extending the run to 21 miles, as you do!! and just as Mrs J and I exchanged a few words, we saw this heron . . by now deep into the 12th mile, it seems wrong because you know you're in the heart of Birmingham and yet there's been no indication that Metropolis lies ahead. . you know you're approaching the finish but it doesn't feel as if you can be . . so finally, to see the buildings below was quite a relief suddenly you pass through a bridge and you're done . . the sneakiest finish line ever in the history of sneaky finish lines!!
