This month's Prom Run was quite a challenge for both participants and spectators alike. Standing up in the wind was difficult enough, goodness knows how hard it must have been to run into the teeth of it, with this course being the course that it is, everyone had to attempt twice.

For reasons I still haven't fathomed, I was unable to control my camera's flash gun, and most of the time it simply didn't function as I needed it to. So the number of reasonable photos I've got is small, and they're found by clicking on "up and down the Prom" to the left. Normally I would reject some of these images, but there really wouldn't be many left if I enforced my usual criteria. I also came home with a lot of extremely blurred photos, seemingly of running waifs in the night, which you'll find by clicking on "all a blur" to the left. Hopefully you'll find them amusing, if nothing else.

Before the photos, here's a brief video from Caroline Potter:

This page sets the scene . . the wayward wind, the athletes, the spectators and supporters wrapped up as warm as possible, the bright lights of Weston Prom, a view of Wales in the distance, and finally the wind blowing the fountain's water in unusual directions . .
