With the clocks about to spring forward this was the final parkrunday of the winter, and once again it was grey (booo) but, contrary to almost all expectations, it was dry ('ray!). And windy, too, which presumably offered both assistance and hindrance at some point during the run, although runners being runners, the hindrance always far outweighs any assistance!

A special parkrunday for members of two "couch to 5k" groups, who achieved their 5k goal at this event. I'm sure I wouldn't have wanted Ashton Court to have been my first 5k, but at least its unlikely ever to feel more difficult! Well done to all of them, and to Andy and Jerry, and Rob and David, who will be receiving parkrun t-shirts of a different hue sometime soon, having now achieved the landmarks of 100 or 50 runs. Well done to them and thank you for the cake afterwards.

Here's a little video of everyone starting their parkrun. Unfortunately my tripod wasn't in the right place to record the Deer which went flashing across the road and into the undergrowth, although on the "let's get going" page you will find photos of it. A tourist, most likely, since the local residents sensibly keep themselves locked away elsewhere in the park.

And then, a few photos from first thing in the morning . . and what a busy morning it was to be . .
