The first Ashton Court parkrun of the New Year took place on a dank, dismal, grey Saturday morning. Despite the weather, 292 hardy souls turned up to run up and down the hill, the 12th highest ever attendance at Ashton Court. Add to them all the volunteers, the friends and family members, and it made for a busy morning.

One thing the morning wasn't good for, however, was photography, as one crucial element - light - was conspicuous by it's absence. Despite this, two of us did our best to record the event. Caroline took the film of the start, below, and the photos at the finish. I combined the role of tail runner with photography, and took photos of many of the runners on their way back down the hill . .
