My grandparents and parents have been visiting Helmsley since 1916 and I appreciate being able to return to the town to take photos at the Helmsley 10k . . once again the challenge was there for all visitors to see as they drove into Helmsley . .

. . it was nice to be able to get this shot of Lord Feversham's statue before all the Easter Day traffic arrived . .

. . when I arrived at Race HQ the eggs were ready for collection post-race . .

. . and the area in front of the pavilion soon became busy with runners collecting numbers and pins . . entering the race . . and meeting up with friends . .

. . the start looked fast and furious . .

. . and it only took a couple of minutes for everyone to run past me as I took their photos . .

. . I made my way up to the last downhill stretch in the 9th kilometre . .

. . and it a little over 30 minutes all 305 runners had passed me on their way to the finish . .

. . once the results had been completed there was a brief presentation of prizes . .

. . and even the Easter Bunny made an appearance during the morning . .
