I had a great morning today at Abingdon parkrun. For the first time at this parkrun I was allocated the role of handing out the finish tokens, and I was really excited about it. However, earlier in the week I'd bought a new camera and wanted to test it out. Fortunately the layout of Abingdon parkrun means that I could take a few photos shortly after the start and then scurry back to the finish funnel and hand out those tokens . .

Where this young man was helping his Mum make sure the runners took the final turn safely . .

I have to include a boat in any set of Abingdon parkrun photos . . and this, for me, is a new view of St Helen's Church spire . .

Cliff, Katy and Grace were great fun to work with . . Cliff in charge for the day, Katy scanning and Grace on the timer . . what a team!!

We had a brief moment's consternation when this tractor turned up to mow the meadow . . fortunately Cliff was able to persuade the driver to wait a few moments more whilst the last few runners came in . .

Almost every Saturday morning this Heron is in the willow tree by the river . . and this view always changes as different boats come and go during each week . .
